Suffolk (UK) was having a very mild winter with no snow until last weekend, then we had five inches dumped on us Saturday night. Now it's sunny but colder than a witch's tit.

i am finding it hard to pray with my children
by Evidently Apostate ini have been fading for 6 months but my wife is still in and always asks me to pray at dinner and when i put the little ones to bed but i am finding prayer to be more of a pretense than heartfelt.
i have to pray for the sun or the earth but why thank him for the food, hell thank me for going to work everyday .who put us in the house we live in, god?
its really hard for me to pray for anything anymore as i have an anger toward him and dont want anything to do with a future (mythical)paradise under his control, so why ask for it?.

DVD Ripping software
by Qcmbr indang don't even know if i should post this - ok - feel free to delete this mods if this crosses the line and apologies to all as i hope my post history will exonerate me from spamming.
eek here goes.. no desire to promote any software or sell anything but if you are looking for a dvd ripping software i had an interesting experience on one unnamed site.
i was about to buy and got really annoyed that they quoted a gbp rate but when i went to pay it showed only dollars / euros so i cancelled.

I can recommend a program called Handbrake. It's available for Windows, Linux and Mac, but you need to find a version BEFORE 0.9.2 for full decryption as the LIBDVDCSS libraries were removed from then onwards. I haven't tried it myself, but if you can't find an older version then installing VLC media player may restore functions as it includes LIBDVDCSS.
Edited to add, this should only be used for legit backing-up purposes of course...

I've been crunching the numbers, and the concept of Santa Claus doesn't add up
by keyser soze inmaybe i'm overly skeptical after years of having been lied to by the wt....but from a purely logistical standpoint, the idea that he could cover the amount of territory necessary in the amount of time allotted, just doesn't seem feasible.. now, granted, there are certain variables in the equation that are highly speculative, such as the speed he would be travelling at.
it's quite possible that reindeer travel faster through the air than by land, maybe quite faster.
but even if we assume he is travelling the speed of a lear jet, and you factor in all the differen't time zones, i still don't see how he has enough time to complete his task.. am i missing something, or is the story totally bogus?.

Afraid so. I changed to a Windows laptop and can see him in firefox but not in ie8. So it's all Bill Gates' fault as usual.
The big day is only 5 1 / 2 hours away for us here, so I'll just wish you a Happy Christmas, and may it be everything you could wish it to be.

Yup, I'm butler to seven, collectively known as the great crowd. My official cats are Augustus and Claudia, Maine Coon bicolour brother & sister, and Nero the Vampire Cat, a black oriental. The others belonged to a friend who died a few months ago, and they needed somewhere to stay, so they came here. There's Max, a black oriental with white toes, Salem & Regan, black shorthairs, and Morgana, a chocolate brown longhair.
Does this qualify me as a mad cat person now?
